Terms of Service
1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your use of Fluently Spanish Academy (fluentlyspanish.co.uk) and the provision of our language tuition services. By booking a trial class, purchasing a package, or registering an account, you agree to these terms in full.
2. Bookings, Payments & Expiry
All class packages must be paid in advance via our secure payment provider (Stripe). Purchased class credits are valid for 6 months from the transaction date. Any unused credits remaining after this period will expire and are non-refundable.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled class via the Student Portal at least 24 hours prior to the start time without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or non-attendance will be charged in full and marked as "Lost". If a teacher cancels, your credit will be restored in full.
4. Refunds & Right to Cancel
Under UK/EU consumer protection regulations, you are entitled to a 14-day statutory right to request a refund on unused class packages from the purchase date. Any classes already delivered within this period will be deducted proportionally from the refund.
5. Technical Requirements & Connectivity
Students are responsible for maintaining a reliable internet connection, working audio equipment, and access to video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom). Fluently Spanish Academy is not liable for lost class time caused by student-side hardware or connection failures.
6. Intellectual Property
All educational materials, presentations, slides, and learning resources provided remain at all times the exclusive intellectual property of Fluently Spanish Academy, licensed strictly for your personal, non-commercial use.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Privacy Policy
What information do we gather?
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, such as your full name, email address, Spanish proficiency level, and learning requirements, solely to manage your student account, coordinate classes, and issue invoices.
Third-Party Processors
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share necessary data with trusted service providers strictly to deliver our services:
- Stripe: Encrypted payment processing (we never see or store your full card details).
- Resend: Delivery of automated transactional emails, class confirmations, and reminders.
- Cloudflare & Railway: Secure cloud hosting, DDoS mitigation, and encrypted database management.
How are Cookies used?
We use strictly essential first-party security cookies (such as sessionid and csrftoken) required to keep you logged in and protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or profiling cookies.
